Nothing last forever, and this is a great gift. No one is happy to see the good things in life come to an end, but we recognize that the temporary nature of the beneficial is what creates appreciation. When negative, hurtful things come to an end, the relief we feel is a bolster that gives us the energy to seek renewal and regrowth. As a creative endeavor, business follows the same sort of exploratory paths as any intellectual, imaginative project. This means that some paths result in dead-ends, or breakage, or loss. Persistence can seem futile at times, as any experimental scientist can attest. Eventually, however, effort can produce the results we need. Satisfaction is the reward of accepting the humility of failures. Successes come in all sizes and shapes, and unexpected rewards pepper our efforts with delightful flavor. Sometimes it is a slow build, and sometimes it is a power punch that can take one by surprise. Either is delicious, and made all the more-so when one remembers the dusty losses of failure. Either supplies one with the reminder of the greater life and greater reward that is possible on the other side of staying the course and keeping stride with hope.
